This beer is named in honor of my wife’s ancestor; Louis Bariteau, also known as Lamarche, who arrived in New France on June 19th 1665 and married Mary Vara in Chambly in 1671. He was a soldier in the “Compagnie du Sieur de Chambly”, in the regiment of Carignan.
